Service Day

Pool Obstructions
All furniture and vegetation including shrubs, trees, and tree canopies should be no closer than 3’ from the water’s edge for complete service. Please remove pool covers, toys, and inflatables before service. Please provide a clear path to the pool and equipment which is free of animal waste. We cannot pass through potty areas.
Gates
Provide a key or keep the gate unlocked on the day of service. Keys must be provided for RV gates unless latch is accessible from top of gate. Notification texts are sent when enroute to your pool. If backyard is inaccessible, there may be a charge of $40. All gates must be self-closing and self-latching.
Equipment should be working with all parts such as skimmer weirs, vacuum ports, pressure gauges, valve parts, and baskets. All drains or suction outlets must have VGB certified drain covers. Worn, broken or missing parts under $35 will automatically be replaced and added to monthly invoices with pictures provided. Auto-fill devices and roaming pool cleaners are required; however, functioning pop-up cleaning systems may be substituted for pool cleaners at our discretion. Pool equipment must be electrically grounded and bonded. Backyard electrical outlets must be to code with watertight covers. In the event of a life-threatening concern, we will take safety precautions as necessary and notify you.
Chemicals which may be added to your pool include calcium hypochlorite, sodium hypochlorite, tri-chlor tabs, calcium hypochlorite tabs, muriatic acid, algicides, phosphate removers, enzymes, metal sequestrants, sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, cyanuric acid, boric acid and liquid covers. All chemicals added to your pool are recorded on your emailed weekly service report and wholesale costs are added to your monthly billing statement(Flat Rate Chemical Only Excluded).
Chemistry adjustments: free chlorine from 3-10 ppm, (minimum free chlorine is 5% of stabilizer.), pH between 6.5 and 8.3(7.4-7.6 ideal), alkalinity from 60-120 ppm (80ppm ideal), stabilizer between 30-150 ppm, phosphates and nitrates adjusted to zero.
Basic chlorine info: When chlorine is added to a pool, it is called free chlorine. Enough free chlorine must be supplied to the pool to meet or exceed usage demand. When free chlorine reacts with bacteria and other contaminants, it becomes combined chlorine(chloramines) and no longer sanitizes. Combined chlorine builds up in the water and must be burned off(oxidized)-usually by adding large amounts of chlorine all at once(shocking). The sun, environment, swimmers, and especially dogs in the pool consume free chlorine. Incorporating ozone systems or UV systems help reduce chlorine demand by oxidizing contaminants. Also, utilizing a chlorine generator (salt pool) will reduce the need to add chlorine.
Refilling a pool with fresh water is a normal and regular part of water balance and sanitation. Our dry, hot, and windy climate causes fast evaporation which causes solids to increase quickly. All products added to a pool will raise solids, calcium, salt, or stabilizer. It is appropriate to refill pool water when total dissolved solids exceed 2500 ppm, stabilizer levels exceed 150 ppm, or calcium levels exceed 800 ppm. We keep your pool from being unsanitary, corrosive, or scale forming by notifying you when refilling with fresh water is necessary. Pools must be drained within 30 days of notification or service will be suspended. Pools with chlorine generators (salt pools), UV systems or ozone systems may need refilling less often.
Modified service is rare but may occur for safety reasons during extreme weather, storms, or excessive heat.
Storm debris cleanup which requires excessive time may incur a $35 charge not to exceed one time per month.
Invoices for pool service are emailed on the 1st business day of the month for the previous month’s service and are due on receipt. Payments are made electronically via invoice. An auto-payment option is available. A late fee of $25 will post to pool service invoices not paid by the 28th and service will be suspended. Service will resume when payment is current.
